A World Of Greener Cars & Light Commercials Available At Platinum

Much has been achieved in recent years by car manufacturers as they work reduce or even eliminate the harmful effects of manufacturing and vehicle emissions. This work continues apace.

Also, great strides have been made in the areas of alternative propulsion, improved fuel consumption and the recyclability of cars and commercials, with ambitious targets and objectives being set and met in order to deliver a motoring experience that is much less impacting on the environment.

Please see below Hybrid and Electric vehicle model details and offers.

Discover the difference between the two and make the best choice for your motoring needs;

Hybrid cars have a regular combustion engine at their heart that’s assisted to varying degrees by an electric motor to achieve low emissions. The batteries that power the motor are charged by the engine and via regenerative braking. ‘Plug-in’ hybrid models have larger batteries that can also be charged from the mains for extra range. They can run on electric power alone in order to achieve zero emission driving.

Electric cars are petrol / diesel free and run solely on battery powered electric motors for zero emission driving. The batteries are charged via a mains supply and through regenerative braking. Continual advances have greatly extended their driving range, boosted their torque, reduced charging times and they also benefit from an extensive recharging infrastructure.

Currently, Hydrogen powered cars are in a tiny minority, but it doesn’t mean that they won’t be widespread in the future. If brands such as Toyota and Hyundai are prepared to invest large sums of money in developing such products, they must believe that the future could be in this arena.

The Toyota Mirai – to quote from Toyota’s website; "Twenty years ago, we introduced Hybrid technology with the pioneering Prius, and thanks to its flexible Hybrid architecture we were able to embark on another journey of innovation with Mirai: Toyota’s hydrogen car that makes less impact on our planet, but is guaranteed to leave an impression on you, on every journey."

The Hyundai NEXO – to quote from Hyundai’s website; "All-New NEXO belongs to a future in which cars exist in harmony with the environment – a future where comfort, control and convenience do not weigh heavy on drivers’ consciences. Available today, but belonging to the world of tomorrow. A world that we’re actively pursuing by adding 18 new electrified models to our range by 2025."
