Organised by the Fleet World Group, the annual Great British Fleet Awards recognise brands and vehicles that deliver exceptional value and quality, both for fleet operators and drivers. Over recent years, Škoda has enjoyed a growing share of the fleet market, thanks to its broad range of models, acclaimed value for money, and low running costs.
Leading the silverware charge in 2026 was the Elroq, which was named Best EV Medium SUV. Awarding the Elroq its first Great British Fleet Award title, the Fleet World judging panel praised its broad range of models and advanced technology. Commenting on the Elroq’s winning performance, Simon Harris, editor of Fleet World said: “The Elroq has a winning formula that makes it the best choice for fleets in this sector, offering choices to suit the needs of drivers in various roles. Relying on EV technology proven throughout Volkswagen Group and beyond, the Elroq is the sweet-spot for fleets looking for a medium SUV.”
Another Škoda EV taking home its first Great British Fleet Awards trophy was the Enyaq Cargo, which was named Small Van of the Year. Introduced last year, the Enyaq Cargo was specifically developed by Škoda UK to offer fleets a cost-effective, all-electric commercial vehicle with exceptional practicality. The judging panel appreciated the attention to detail throughout and day-to-day usability. “The Enyaq Cargo offers a practical loadspace, maximum payload of over 500kg and is aimed specifically at fleet operators.” commented John Kendall, editor of Van Fleet World, who added: “The judges were impressed with its ability to carry a useful load of tools and/or equipment, while the growing number of Clean Air Zones increase its appeal. Its reputation as an electric car also helped the judges to decide.”
Meanwhile, the Superb and Kodiaq notched up back-to-back Great British Fleet Award titles, winning Best Fleet Medium Car and Best Fleet Large SUV respectively. The Superb impressed the judges with its practicality and efficiency, with the plug-in hybrid iV proving a range highlight. Commenting on the Superb’s win, Simon Harris, editor of Fleet World said: “The Superb maintains its crown as the definitive fleet cruiser, proving that traditional saloon and estate formats still offer the best blend of aerodynamics and elegance. Its latest plug-in hybrid powertrain is a tax-busting masterstroke, offering an electric range of up to 75 miles.”
Completing Škoda’s quartet of Great British Fleet awards, the Kodiaq retained its Best Fleet Large SUV title, seeing off tough competition to stay at the top. “The Kodiaq continues to define the standard for the large SUV segment by blending immense practicality with sophisticated plug-in technology.” explained Simon Harris. “Its 75-mile electric range secures a competitive benefit-in-kind tax rating, making it a powerful tool for reducing fleet tax burdens without sacrificing capability.”
