Dacia Bigster has been named ‘Best Affordable Hybrid SUV’ in the EcoCar Electrified Top 50. It’s a win for everyone who likes their hybrid SUV big on space, big on common sense, but not big on price.
The EcoCar Electrified Top 50 celebrates the UK’s leading electrified cars, from mild hybrids and plug-in hybrids to fully electric vehicles. For Bigster, the award recognises a straightforward idea that electrification should be accessible.

Bigster is already doing the job of bringing hybrid power to a larger SUV without asking buyers to pay for things they don’t need.
Starting from £25,215 on-the-road, Bigster broadens what drivers can expect from an affordable SUV. Offered in three trim levels – Expression, Journey and Extreme – and with a choice of mild hybrid and hybrid powertrains, it blends rugged styling with the space, equipment and toughness that have become Dacia hallmarks. The best-selling hybrid 155 version starts from £28,190 on-the-road.
Every trim comes with the kind of kit people actually use, including a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rear parking sensors, a multiview camera, automatic rain-sensing wipers, and a 40/20/40 rear bench seat with Easy Fold function.
The range stays simple, too. Expression keeps things well equipped and to the point. Journey adds comfort-focused features including 19-inch alloy wheels, electric powered tailgate, hands-free key, wireless phone charger and adaptive cruise control on hybrid versions. Extreme is for the outdoor lovers, adding 18-inch alloy wheels, modular roof bars, washable MicroCloud synthetic TEP upholstery, rubber mats, and hill descent control.
