Hyundai Motor UK announces KONA Electric eligibility for the Electric Car Grant

Hyundai Motor UK has announced that KONA Electric is now eligible for the Government’s Electric Car Grant.

Every KONA Electric now qualifies¹ for the Electric Car Grant Band 2, providing £1,500 off the on-the-road purchase price, encouraging more drivers to adopt zero‑emission motoring.

As well as providing retail customers with a £1,500 saving, customers choosing a KONA Electric via Motability will now see their advance payment reduce to £749.

KONA Electric has a significant presence in the fleet market, and the Electric Car Grant eligibility further enhances its fleet proposition with KONA Electric now available from £349 + VAT on a 6+35 month contract with 8k per annum². The new position represents an improvement of £38 per month and positions the KONA Electric competitively against its competition, particularly when KONA Electric’s generous trim specifications, high efficiency and long-distance range are considered.

The Hyundai Electric Grant, launched in July 2025, is still available across the Hyundai’s award-winning electric range³, offering £3,750 off all models of INSTER and £1,500 off all models of IONIQ 5, 5 N, IONIQ 6, 6 N and IONIQ 9.
