New Partnership Drives Forward Lifesaving Skills Across Wiltshire and Bath

Platinum Motor Group is proud to support Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity by providing a Vauxhall Grandland Hybrid to assist in the delivery of their vital emergency awareness training programme, AWARE+.

This support will enable the Charity’s emergency awareness training manager, Andrew Robinson, to reach schools, youth groups and community venues across Wiltshire and Bath - empowering people of all ages with the skills and confidence to save a life.

The AWARE+ programme is part of the Charity’s mission to go above and beyond in providing not just emergency critical care, but preventative education too.

Designed for young people and community groups, AWARE+ offers hands-on, interactive sessions that cover crucial lifesaving topics including how to deliver effective CPR, what to do if someone is choking and when and how to call 999.

Andrew said: “I’ve seen how much of a difference it makes when people feel confident in an emergency.

“Whether it’s a teenager learning how to help someone who is choking, or a community group getting hands-on experience with a defibrillator, the skills we teach through AWARE+ really do have the power to save lives.”

In the last year alone, the programme reached 11,529 young people across Wiltshire and Bath.

Now with the new vehicle supplied by us, the trainers can now travel more widely and flexibly, allowing even more communities to benefit from the potentially lifesaving education.

This initiative plays an important role in helping people feel more prepared in emergency situations. We’re proud to support a programme that reflects our shared commitment to community and public safety.

Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance is a vital part of our region, and their dedication, both in the air and on the ground, has made a huge difference to so many lives. It’s a privilege to give back to a service that continues to go above and beyond for local people.

The Charity provides vital critical medical care by land and air, across Wiltshire and Bath.

In effect, they give the same level of critical care as a hospital but bring the expert team and specialist equipment to the people in need. And do it as fast as humanly possible.

On call all year round for up to 19 hours a day, on average they respond to four incidents daily, attending by helicopter and/or by their critical care cars. 

But this vital work wouldn't happen without your help. As a registered charity, they don’t receive government funding, relying entirely on voluntary donations and support from the local communities in Wiltshire and Bath. Your donations save lives.
