Škoda Plus Approved Used named as best buying scheme by industry experts Car Dealer

Škoda’s acclaimed used car scheme has been named the best in the business by Car Dealer Magazine. The Czech brand’s Plus Approved Used scheme took top honours in the annual Car Dealer Used Car Awards, with the judging panel praising Škoda’s commitment to customer satisfaction and easy-to-use search tools.

The Car Dealer Used Car Awards, organised by Car Dealer Magazine, celebrate the best of the best in the used car industry, and have been spotlighting the top dealers and manufacturers since 2012. The Manufacturer Used Car Scheme of the Year award is widely regarded as one of the most fiercely contested categories.

Commenting on the Manufacturer Used Car Scheme Award, James Baggott, editor in chief of Car Dealer, said: “This title goes to the car maker that has the best used car offering. Although they focus on new vehicles, used cars are vital to franchised dealer profitability, so a good used car scheme is key. Judges wanted to see evidence of a fantastic warranty, breakdown cover, a comprehensive check of the used cars before sale and a website that was easy to navigate for customers.”

Recognising Škoda’s commitment to delivering new car standards and quality to the used car sector, Baggott added: “Škoda may have a growing range of new cars, but it remembers just how important pre-loved examples really are. All of its used cars come with peace of mind thanks to a 100-point check, sold through passionate dealers.”

All cars offered through the Škoda Plus Approved scheme are subject to a rigorous Multi-Point Check by the brand’s trained Škoda Technicians to ensure that they meet the same exacting standards regardless of source.

Buyers also benefit from a one-year warranty, 12 months roadside assistance and a 30-day, 1,000 mile exchange. All cars sold through the scheme also come with at least six months until their next service or MOT. Customers who opt to finance their purchase their used Škoda (up to three years old) through a Solutions PCP additionally benefit from two free services¹, two years warranty² and roadside assistance and two MOTs³. Until 02/01/25, customers can also receive a £250 deposit contribution when buying a vehicle up to three years old.

Finally, customers choosing a used battery electric vehicle such as the award-winning Enyaq also receive a full battery state of health check for complete peace of mind. All Škoda BEV models are covered by an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery degradation warranty from new.
