Whether you're navigating a tight turning circle in town or cruising on the motorway, the ride quality is smooth and quiet, we felt.
It also handles corners well thanks to its multi-link rear suspension, and the regenerative braking feels natural as well – no jerky stops or over-sensitive brake pedal moments for instance.
This is then complemented well with its Sport mode that gives you a more sharpen drive, and a nippy feel that makes this small EV feel quite GTI-like in our view.
Battery Life & Range
For its battery stats, the Renault 5 E-Tech offers you two battery options, with the 52kWh battery being the pick of the bunch.
Here, this gives you up to 250 miles of range, though real-world numbers often come closer to 220 miles, which is still plenty for city runs and motorway jaunts as well.
The charging speed is impressive, too, with a solid charge rate at high-speed stations, you can go from 15 to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes. And yes, there's also a heat pump included to help your range efficiency in colder weather as well.
